Climate Change

In our planet there are a lot of problems that some people ignore,like the pollution of the air,caused by the use of cars or also spray cans,that cause also the hole in the ozone layer.Then we have also the pollution of sea caused by the excessive use of plasticand also other things.Then the melting glaciers,caused by the high temperature,that is always a consequence of climate change.We can do something and we can save our planet,also with small gestures,like use less cars,so go on foot or in bycicle,that is more ecological.Another thing very important is do recycling and don't throw refuses in the street.In this period are emerging also some companies and associations that are fighting for this problem and are trying to change the situation.

Hamlet's Soliloquy

In this soliloquy Hamlet expresses a dilemma between life and death.So he is undecided to choose death or live life as it is.But life appears top him as painful and fulls of troubles,so the suicide is the only solution.But he has also fear because he doesn't know what comes after death,and says also that all of us have fear about it,so all prefer bearing the miseries of life top death.

Hamlet's Plot

We are in Denmark,in a castle of a king that has recently died.His ghost appears to two sentinels of the castle,so they go to Hamlet,the king's son,and they tells him that they see this ghost and he was similar to this father.In this period Hamlet is deeply upset for his father's death and the marriage between his mother and his uncle,the king's brother Claudius,that is the new king.So Hamlet decide to go where the sentinels saw the ghost,and appears also to hime and tells him that he was poisoned by Claudius.So Hamlet feign madness to find out the truth.He behaves strangely with Ophelia,the young woman he is in love with.Ophelia's father,Polonius,that has forbidden to his daughter to have a relationship with the prince,tells to Claudius that Hamlet's behaviour is caused by unreturned love.Meanwhile,a group of actors arrive at the castle and Hamlet asks them to include a scene with the circumstances of king's murder.Then Claudius suspet that Hamlet knows the truth,and the suspicion is confirmed during the scene of the murder,so Claudius stops the play and goes out and Hamlet understands that ghost's words were true.Then we have a dialogue between Hamlet and his mother where Hamlet kills Polonius thinking he was Claudius.So the king orders him to go in England.Then Ophelia goes mad and her brother,Laertes,comes back from France to see her before she dies.Then also Hamlet comes back in Denmark to see Ophelia's funeral and he confesses his love.Then we have a duel between Hamlet and Laeters,that want to revenge,but the king Claudius put the poison in the cups and accidently the queen drinks and dies,and Hamlet and Laeters are wounded by poisoned sword.Then Hamlet understands the trith,kills the king and then dies.

Beowulf

The only long literary text in Old English is the epic poem Beowulf.The poem recounts the deeds of a Scandinavian prince,called Beowulf,and it is one of the fundamental works of poetry in English.Beowulf himself is a traditional hero,he is the most famous warrior in the land of the Geats.He crosses the sea to the land of the Danes in order to free their country of their mortal enemy,the man-eating monster Grendel.Even if the hero is a mortal man,he kills it.When a dragon begins to terrorise the land,Beowulf confronts and kills it.but he also meets his own death thus entering the legends of his people as a hero-warrior.
